There is some decent weather ahead in North Texas through at least Father’s Day. Afternoon highs through Monday will be in the mid-90s, with morning lows in the 70s, and not much wind until next week.

Afternoon highs over the weekend will reach the mid-90s Friday through Father’s Day with morning lows in the 70s. An air quality alert is in effect Friday and most likely Saturday as well.

North Texas saw some fast-moving low clouds Tuesday morning with temperatures in the low to mid-70s. By late Tuesday afternoon, there will be a few scattered showers and storms moving in from the southeast, but most will stay dry.

It’s the last full day of spring y’all! A few tropical showers today and tomorrow, otherwise we’re back to a sunny and hot weather pattern this weekend into early next week.

Summer officially starts Thursday, weekend highs will reach the upper 90s

The baking heat that’s plagued the eastern third of the United States will shift to the west. That area of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere will be on top of North Texas this weekend and slowly shift to the west by Wednesday.

There are not any changes in the forecast through Thursday. North Texas will likely have Heat Advisories in place once again with an afternoon high on Wednesday around 101 degrees, and 100 degrees on Thursday with more cloud cover.

More Heat Advisories will be in place across North Texas on Wednesday and Thursday before two cold fronts bring rain back to the area for the first time in more than three weeks.

North Texas will experience one more day of Heat Advisories with temperatures on Thursday forecast to approach 100 degrees and heat index values near 105.

Rain could start in the Dallas-Fort Worth area Friday afternoon. Severity will be low, but strong gusty winds may accompany the stronger storms. Afternoon highs will top out in the low 90s.
