WASHINGTON — U.S. Reps. Chip Roy, R-Texas, and Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., have introduced bipartisan legislation that would require Congress to approve national emergency declarations and the powers used under them within 30 days for them to remain in effect.

Bandera Independent School District and the Bandera County Sheriff’s Office are warning students, parents and community members about a viral social media trend involving the “Cat in the Hat” character after posts connected to the trend began circulating in the local community.

The Bandera County Sheriff’s Office assisted Bandera County Precinct 2 Constable Greg Spengler in executing a search and seizure warrant Friday morning at the We Care Wildlife Sanctuary in Lakehills, according to officials.

More than 20 dead animals, including approximately 15 horses and two primates, were discovered Friday during the execution of search and seizure warrants at the We Care Wildlife Sanctuary in Lakehills, according to a statement released by Bandera County Precinct 2 Constable Greg Spengler.
