As we head into the fall and winter seasons I know a lot of you are wondering what kind of weather may occur. There are several climate patterns we can look at to get an idea of what we may see but we also have to look at past records for comparison. One climate pattern we look at is called ENSO, or the El Niño Southern Oscillation. There's a cool phase called La Niña. The Climate Prediction Center says that there's a high chance that this will develop as we go into the winter season. La Niña's effects are more pronounced in winter so let's take a look at what could happen this season in the Tennessee Valley.
