Free games are always an exciting benefit for Amazon Prime members, and this October, there are plenty of new free titles over on Prime Gaming, including a few spooky ones, in time for Halloween!

To say I have been excited for Unknown 9: Awakening would be an understatement. From seeing the trailer back in March to checking it out at Summer Game Fest and then finally going hands-on with U9A at PAX this year, I have been dying to get my hands on the full release. I am happy to say that Unknown 9: Awakening truly satisfied all of my needs regarding a fresh take on combat and a captivating story.

I’m always a fan of a good simulator, whether it’s zoos, theme parks, farms, or city-building. When the Roman city-builder Citadelum was brought to my attention, I knew I had to jump in, and I’m so glad I did. Citadelum blends strategy, simulation, and style to create an addictive experience that I can’t seem to put down.

Lucca Comics & Games is going big for the 50th Anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons!

This is my third time checking out our Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but this time, it’s complete, and after more than 50 hours of gameplay, the main story, and countless side quests and companion quests, I can confidently say it is everything I hoped it would be.

Everyone is introduced to horror in different ways, but a huge chunk of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s will tell you their first foray into the genre was thanks to the great R.L. Stine. Whether it was through his books like Stay Out of the Basement or Night of the Living Dummy, the late 90s TV show, the Jack Black Goosebumps films or even the newer Fear Street films, R.L. Stines spooky stories have reached millions of people all over the world and have even been translated into multiple languages.

At Lucca Comics & Games 2024, I was able to sit down to my first Dungeons & Dragons session with none other than Jeremy Crawford, Game Director of D&D at Wizards of the Coast. Not only that, but I was able to play in a centuries-old church completely decked out in fifty years of D&D art. I don’t know about you, but I think I am ruined for all future D&D sessions.

Backpacks for women are a curious thing. Finding a backpack that fits my frame as a woman has been the bane of my existence. The bags are either too long and smack me in the back of my head, too wide and impede my arm movements, or even worse, I find countless issues with the straps. Regular backpacks have straps that sit wider than a woman’s frame, meaning while I was lugging my creator gear and laptop around during TIFF 2024, I ended up with bruises on my biceps because they came out so far.

Avowed is set to launch in February 2025, and thanks to Xbox and Obsidian Entertainment, we were able to go hands-on with the first two hours of the game.
