Western Dubuque senior Brock Wilson carded a one-under par 71 to take medalist honors during the Mississippi Valley Conference, Mississippi Divisional Meet, at Hunters Ridge Golf Course, in Marion, Sept. 30.

Cascade faced some of the top teams in Eastern Iowa last week, including a strong Anamosa team in conference action, before competing in the Western Dubuque Tournament over the weekend.

Western Dubuque needed a win at Memorial Stadium, in Waterloo, Oct. 11, to stay in the hunt for a district title. Mission accomplished, as the Bobcats rolled to a 42-10 win over Waterloo East, setting up a huge matchup at Decorah.

A match that had the look of a Western Dubuque sweep took a turn in the third game, as Waverly-Shell Rock rallied from a two-set deficit to defeat the Bobcats, 3-2, in Epworth, Oct. 8.
