Last year, I rode my 12th Pan-Mass Challenge to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Seven of those years were with attorney John Berryhill. With help from colleagues, friends, and family, we have raised more than $200,000 to further the cancer fighting mission of Dana-Farber.

Yesterday, I was discussing an acquisition target with GoDaddy DBS Broker Jordan Cavanaugh. The company told Jordan it wasn’t interested in selling the domain name as it planned to use it. From what I can see, the domain name has been owned by the same company for many years and hasn’t been built. I suggested a follow-up in December to try and close a deal.

I look at Atom as a platform people use to find brand names with matching domain names. Because of this, I lean towards listing brandable types of domain names on Atom. I figure someone looking for a creative brand name will use Atom and my inventory should be shown on related terms.

The Internet Commerce Association (ICA) will be hosting its third annual Levine Lecture on July 28th at 12pm EDT. This year, the online webinar event will feature experienced UDRP panelist Nick Gardner, who will be introduced by fellow UDRP panelist Tony Willoughby. According to UDRP.Tools, Mr. Gardner has been a panelist in nearly 600 UDRP cases.

If you use Afternic and its GoDaddy brokers to sell your domain names, your Lead Center is most likely filled with inquiries that have many “ Email sent to buyer ” notifications. A month ago, I wrote about an issue sellers need to be aware of when using the Lease to Own (LTO) option on Afternic. If a LTO deal is canceled, the domain name is returned to the seller’s GoDaddy account with auto-renew disabled, regardless of that status prior to the sale.

I’ve been a proponent of offering buyers the option to lease-to-own (LTO) my domain names. The primary benefit of an LTO deal is that it enables a fledgling business to secure a domain name today while paying for it as the business grows. It’s a win win if the seller gets the desired price.

Runway.com has been acquired in a deal overseen by Andrew Miller of ATM Holdings. The domain name recently transferred from Tucows to Namecheap under Whois privacy. Runway.com had been listed for sale on the ATM Holdings website, and it was recently moved to the section on the homepage showcasing completed deals.
