Cognition, one of the most high profile AI companies, has acquired its brand matching Cognition.com domain name. According to a post on LinkedIn this morning, the deal was brokered by Lumis:

In February, I discovered the contact form on my corporate website wasn’t working. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but my WordPress developer made a fix that solved the deliverability issue. However, the contact form receives a fair amount of spam emails now that it is working. This issue needs to be addressed at some point soon, but it is more of an annoyance than a problem.

There are a number of domain investor groups that get together throughout the year. I know of groups in south Florida and Los Angeles who hold casual meetups to talk about domain names from time to time. I received a suspicious looking email yesterday, and I want to share some details. The email subject was “Atom x Embrace.com,” and it came from an email address using a.CO domain name that does not appear to be associated with the Atom.com platform.
