And when my dad, Ted Wilson (1939-2024), was mayor of Salt Lake City, my experiences in our valley expanded to include governance and local politics.

It led people to call him and ask, “Hey, are you okay?” Things are the opposite with his newest album, Olly Olly Oxen Free. Being an Evanescence fan in the 2000s was a little tough. The band had a habit of dropping an album and then kind of disappearing for a while, leaving you wondering when they’d pop up again.
