DOWNTOWN AKRON — The possible purchase of a mobile command vehicle for the City of Akron is raising some concerns among several members of Akron City Council. BARBERTON: Police were called to a Stratford Street home Oct. 30 for a suspicious person. A woman told police a man who had been evicted from the property was back at the property. Officers spoke to the man, who said he was getting his belongings. The woman said the man tried to get into the house and damaged the door frame. The man was charged with criminal damaging and criminal trespassing.

Results from Division I included Revere High School junior Will Wells finished 26th overall; Highland High School senior Ty Sgambati finished 76th; and Green High School senior Eric Dando finished 24th.

FacebookTwitterEmailMessengerCopy LinkMessageShare COLUMBUS — Three local soccer teams competed in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Soccer State Championships, Nov. 9-10 at Historic Crew Stadium. Two of those teams came from Walsh Jesuit High School. Unfortunately the outcome was not what local teams had hoped for as all three finished as state champion runners-up.

BARBERTON: Police were called to a 22nd Street Northwest home Nov. 1 for a report of a fight. Several people at the residence said a man broke in and started to fight them. Officers located the man near the home and he told officers a woman had left the back door open for him to get in. Officers collected several statements from people at the home and determined the man should be charged with assault. He was taken to the Barberton City Jail.
