Another double-digit duel didn’t go in the Avalanche’s favor.
Self-inflicted wounds and lack of firepower are slowing down the Avalanche.
The season is four games old and the injury ward is already filling up for the Avs.
Colorado Avalanche forward Cal Ritchie was the talk of the town all offseason. He went into rookie camp in July unsigned and was miles better than anyone else in attendance. He finally signed his ELC days after camp, and seemingly stuck around Denver all summer, skating and working hard to be a part of camp in September.
In the first-ever matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and the Utah Hockey Club, it would be the visiting team taking care of business. The Avs went into Salt Lake City and got a big 5-1 win to end the road trip.
