SAN BENITO — As the city gears up for San Benito’s biggest music festival, officials are putting up $290,000 to help stage the first four-day Hog Waddle Concert and Cookoff.

The city’s planning to build Harlingen’s first recreational center after landing a $1.5 million grant, picking Pendleton Park as the site of the $6 million project.
