Nevadans are going to bed on election night without knowing which presidential candidate won the state’s six electoral votes — though the state’s eventual result will not decide the presidency.

Defying polling that showed Democratic Sen. Jacky Rosen comfortably ahead all cycle, Republican Sam Brown leads by a fraction of a percentage point.

The three Democrats representing Las Vegas won their races, while Rep. Mark Amodei (R-NV) defeated an independent in the North.

With two Senate races yet to be called, Rosen’s win brings Democrats’ total to 46 seats.

The distinctiveness of Trump, Biden’s unpopularity and discontent over high prices contributed to Kamala Harris’ loss, while down-ballot Dems hung on.
