A Roswell-based contracting company said an employee wrote herself three checks totaling $7,099, forged the manager’s signature and cashed them without authorization. The employee allegedly tried to cash a fourth check the afternoon of Aug. 3, but the business manager canceled the transaction. He then called Roswell police to report that the money was stolen from the company throughout July.
