Double Murder in Ghaziabad: A businessman allegedly fatally stabbed his wife and son to death in Ghaziabad's Kavi Nagar area, on Thursday afternoon. According to the preliminary information, the accused identified as Amardeep, a resident of Mahendra Enclave, first stabbed his wife identified as Sonu and later stabbed his son identified as Vinayak with a sharp weapon to death. Police further informed that the accused after killing the mother-and-a-son duo, tried to end his own life with the same weapon however ended-up receiving critical injuries. Purportedly, the incident came to light when the neighbours heard loud cries for help and rushed to Amardeep;'s house only to find his wife and son lying in a pool of blood. An alarm was raised following which the jurisdictional police were informed. Initial probe reveals that all three were immediately taken to hospital where the doctors declared the wife and son dead on arrival while the accused is said to be critically injured. Police officials have allegedly found a suicide note on the spot and an initial investigation has been initiated into the matter. According to Kavinagar Police, the reason behind the extreme step taken by Amardeep is yet to be known.

Telangana and and Puducherry Governor Resigns: Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday resigned from the post of governor for Telangana. After sending her resignation to Rashtrapati Bhawan, speculations arose suggesting that she might contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.It is learnt that Soundararajan is likely to contest Lok Sabha seats for Puducherry, South Chennai and Kanyakumari. Soundararajan has earlier served as Tamil Nadu BJP chief till 2019 and was later appointed as Governor of Telangana. She was given an additional charge of Puducherry after Kiran Bedi was removed as governor of the city. The former governor has been in active politics for more than 20 years, though has never won an election so far.In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, she contested from the Thoothukudi constituency against the AIADMK's Jayavardhan and DMK's Kannimozhi, but lost the battle. The PMK Party on Tuesday officially joined the BJP-led NDA alliance, marking a significant political development in Tamil Nadu. The alliance was solidified with the signing ceremony attended by BJP state President Annamalai and PMK founder and President Anbumani Ramadoss. Under this alliance, PMK will contest 10 seats in Tamil Nadu as part of the NDA coalition, although the final number of seats and specific candidates are yet to be determined. With PMK's support, the BJP hopes to strengthen its position in the state, particularly against the backdrop of its former alliance partner AIADMK.The decision to form this alliance comes after PMK's historical oscillation between alliances with DMK and AIADMK. Notably, PMK had previously aligned with NDA in 2014 but later opted to contest independently in 2016, resulting in significant losses.
