Ryan McCartan will take over as Jay Gatsby in Broadway's The Great Gatsby, beginning performances at the Broadway Theatre on January 21, 2025. He replaces the musical's original star Jeremy Jordan, who plays his final performance January 19.

Tammy Faye, the new musical about famed televangelist Tammy Faye Messner, will play its final Broadway performance at the Palace Theatre on December 8. Directed by Rupert Goold, the production opened November 14 and will have played 24 previews and 29 regular performances at the time of its closing.

Marty Lauter, known to many a RuPaul’s Drag Race fan as Marcia Marcia Marcia, is making their Broadway debut as Kit Kat Club dancer Victor in the revival of Cabaret. Broadway.com's Emmy-nominated docuseries Character Study is back, and with the actress who kicked it off 14 years ago. Sutton Foster has pulled back the curtain on her Broadway transformations twice before—for her 2011 role as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes and her 2014 turn as the title character in Violet. It's only fitting that she would usher in the return of Character Study with her latest Broadway role, swamp princess Winnifred the Woebegone of Once Upon a Mattress, which ends its time on Broadway on November 30.
