IMG Academy has been good to the Colorado Buffaloes of late. Jordan Seaton was easily the best offensive lineman on this team for the entire 2024 season. He has a friend, Cash Cleveland, that became the starting center. The Florida juggernaut just makes good football players. Colorado is trying to make inroads there and it appears to have succeeded. Alex McPherson, the one time Oklahoma State commit, is not bringing his pass-rushing to Boulder.

The Colorado Buffaloes continue their Thanksgiving feast with another high-level player. All on Shannon Sharpe and Chad Ochocinco’s show, Nightcap, the Buffs got four commitments on Thursday night. London Merritt kicked things off in a big way.

The Colorado Buffaloes completed their legendary Thanksgiving this year by adding the only formerly uncommitted prospect to their class. They say that stealing a recruit from a rival is winning twice, but adding Quentin Gibson to your class is winning a million times. I’ll drop any semblance of objectivity or reporting here to say that he is my favorite in this class, full stop. Watch his tape and tell me you don’t agree.

Paul Hornung is an All-American story. During his years at Notre Dame, 1953 - 1957, he played fullback, halfback (those were bigger deals in the 50s), defensive back, quarterback and pretty much everything else. His claim to fame is the 1956 season, when Hornung led Notre Dame in rushing yards, passing yards and also punted. He was 1st in passes defended and second in tackles.

Well, everyone, I’m sad. Travis Hunter just won the Heisman and I’m sad. The Colorado Buffaloes have a chance at 10 wins and I’m sad. Why am I sad? Oh, I don’t know, I just think it’s unfair that transfer portal players just pop into your life, steal your heart and then leave. Breakups suck, I guess.

The Colorado Buffaloes are losing established talent all along the defensive line. BJ Green, Chidozie Nwankwo, Dayon Hayes, Shane Cokes, all of these players are established starters who know how to play defensive line. That is a lot of production to replace. Sure, the Buffs have built some depth. Anquin Barnes is coming back, as is Amari McNeil. Keaton Wade and Arden Walker came on strong. There’s some talent there.

The Colorado Buffaloes have to replace a lot in the middle of the defense. Mainly, they have to replace dudes who look like they could bench press half a ton. Every departing in the front seven was cut granite by the time they left this team. Regardless of whether or not they performed well, the Buffs looked intimidating. Coach Prime has started to stock up on those dudes again. I mean, just look at this guy:
