Gee's Bend quilter Marlene Bennett Jones will be at the Johnson Center for the Arts from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 23. This will be Bennett's first ever solo museum exhibit displaying her quilts.

Already, the year 2025, is off to a busy beginning at the Johnson Center for the Arts in downtown Troy.

For 19 years now, the Brundidge Historical Society has hosted the Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge and the Trojan Center Theater on the campus of Troy University.

Once again, the Pike County Extension Office will provide free tax assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program starting February 3, 2025, and running through April 4, 2025.
