What better way to finish off a great season than to do it at the most prestigious meet of the year? Milton High sent their boys 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams as well as a couple freshmen to two separate National Meets, the New Balance Outdoor Championships at the University of Pennsylvania’s Franklin Field and the Adidas Track Nationals on the campus of North Carolina A&T during the weekend of June 13-16.

It’s happened again. Milton baseball has once more asserted their dominance across the local diamonds as four Milton National and one Milton American teams would capture Suburban Youth Baseball League

Milton Youth Softball was really singing the blues this summer, but in a good way. Bad jokes aside, it was another successful campaign for the program, as two squads, the 10U and 12U “Blue” teams captured South Shore Summer Softball League (SSSSL) championships, with the 10U team capping off an undefeated season on Aug. 1 with an exciting 8-7 win over Abington and 12U hammering Norwell 16-6 on July 31 to add to the growing legacy of Milton Youth Softball.

A District 3 and Stoughton Tournament championship was already under their belts. A 10-0 regular season record to go with another 14 wins in tournament play. How would the Milton American 11A team cap off their summer? By capturing the South River League championship, of course. The team added one last prize to their already-amazing 2024 campaign, hammering fierce rival Quincy 13-1.

For a team with a deep history like the Milton High cross country team, a team that, five years ago, swept both the girls and boys Division 3 Eastern Mass.

You always want to end the regular season playing your best. That’s exactly the game plan the Milton High volleyball and field hockey teams brought going into their respective final week. And they executed it to near-perfection. The volleyball team defeated Weymouth and Braintree to conclude their schedule while the field hockey squad ripped off three straight wins as both gained some very valuable momentum heading into the postseason.

Whenever the championship meets roll around, you can always count on the Milton High cross country team having great showings. The Wildcats would finish their 2024 campaign first with a solid outing at the Divisional Race, then send eight runners to the Division 1 championships where several of them would greatly improve their times to bring another solid season to an end.

The way the Milton High boys basketball team has worked to rebuild their once-proud name, many expected that they could possibly surpass their combined win total from the previous couple of seasons. What few could have imagined is that it would take only six games to do so. Head coach Billy Donovan and his Wildcats have sent shockwaves through the state’s high school basketball masses, sporting a 6-1 record through the end of the year.
