WORTHINGTON - It didn't take long for the Fairmont Martins' offense to get cooking. After six pitches from Worthington's Justin Saufley, Fairmont already had three runs on the scoreboard, thanks to singles from Eli Anderson and Spencer Chirpich, and a powerful home run off Luke Becker's bat.

FAIRMONT - Jackson wasn't going to make things easy. The four spots between them and the Fairmont Martins in the Region 10C playoff seedings didn't matter. This three-game semifinal series was going to be a rock fight, regardless of what happened in the regular season.

FAIRMONT - Everything looks ordinary on the outside. From the gravel driveway, it's just another white barn sitting in rural southern Minnesota. However, taking a walk up the set of stairs on the west side of the structure prepares you for something more.

JACKSON - Both playoff draft picks for the Fairmont Martins and Jackson Bulls left their mark on Friday night's Game Two contest in the Region 10C semifinals.

FAIRMONT - Up to this point in the Region 10C semifinal series between No. 2 Fairmont and No. 6 Jackson, offense had been hard to come by for the Martins. A combined six runs and 11 hits were all Fairmont had to show in Game One and Game Two last Wednesday and Friday night. The powerful doubles and "gap shot" hits Martins manager Levi Becker aims to see simply hadn't happened yet.

Fairmont back in Class C State Tournament FAIRMONT - The Fairmont Martins have reclaimed their spot in Class C of the Minnesota Baseball Association (MBA).

SHAKOPEE - The power-hitting, loud bats that manager Levi Becker is used to seeing from his Fairmont Martins haven't been present over the last few games of the Region 10C playoffs. Fairmont averaged just over four runs per contest against the Jackson Bulls and Windom Pirates.
