Creston edges Bondurant-Farrar 4-3 in regional opener

Creston pitcher Kennedy Strider throws out a Winterset batter on a bunt in the first inning Saturday as first baseman Rohwyn Randall ducks out of the way after charging on the bunt. Strider allowed no earned runs in six innings with three strikeouts and three walks.

MOUNT AYR — An early 3-0 lead proved to be just enough cushion for the Lenox baseball team in a 5-4 District 16 championship victory at Mount Ayr Saturday night.
