My thesis is that not only did Bush show superior character traits, but he had a tremendous resume for the role of the presidency. He is a model, in character and resume, of what we should have today as presidential candidates as the United States faces challenges. Instead, in Trump we have an egotistical style and in Harris a vacuous single-term Vice President. Since Bush, I believe we have had relatively weak candidates for the presidency. Perhaps, it is the visual, instead of substantive, nature of our politics today, charisma instead of relevant experience. Let's look at Bush's experience.
