GREEN RIVER — The Green River Wolves wrestling teams tackled a challenging week of competition at the Reno Tournament of Champions and the Joe Aimone Invitational, facing some of the toughest brackets of the season. Despite their best efforts, no Green River wrestler made it past the quarterfinals in Reno.

WORLAND — The Rock Springs Tigers and Lady Tigers wrestling teams showcased their strength and determination at the 2024 Battle in the Big Horns tournament. The boys secured a fifth-place finish in the Gold Bracket, while the Lady Tigers celebrated individual victories, including three first-place finishes in their respective weight classes.

RENO, Nev. — The Western Wyoming Community College Mustangs showcased their grit at the prestigious Reno Tournament of Champions, with Dimitri Alarcon and Dmarian Lopez leading the way by reaching the semi-finals in their respective weight classes.

LARAMIE — Over the last two weeks, former University of Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has continued to solidify his case as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player. In Week 15, Allen shined in Buffalo’s 37-31 win over Detroit, completing 23-of-34 passes for 362 yards and two touchdowns while adding 68 rushing yards and two scores on 11 carries. In Week 16, Allen led the Bills to a 24-21 comeback win over New England, throwing for 154 yards with one touchdown and one interception while rushing for 30 yards.

LARAMIE — After a successful non-conference finish, the Wyoming Cowboys return to the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday to host Nevada in their Mountain West home opener. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday as the Cowboys (7-5, 0-1 MW) look to build momentum following back-to-back wins over Bellarmine and CSU Fullerton.

DENVER — The Denver Broncos are poised for a “win-and-in” scenario this Saturday as they face the Cincinnati Bengals in a pivotal Week 17 matchup. With playoff aspirations on the line, the Broncos have a 75% chance to secure a postseason berth, but a loss could drop their odds to 59%, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

LARAMIE — The Wyoming Cowboys showcased resilience and precision in a hard-fought 66-63 victory over Nevada on Saturday afternoon, improving to 6-0 at home this season. The win not only boosted their overall record to 8-5 and 1-1 in Mountain West play but also set the stage for a high-stakes matchup against preseason conference favorite Boise State on New Year’s Eve at the Arena-Auditorium.

LARAMIE – Former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen continues to redefine excellence in the NFL, adding another historic milestone to his already illustrious career. In the Buffalo Bills’ 40-14 victory over the New York Jets, Allen became the first player in NFL history to post five consecutive seasons with at least 40 total touchdowns. Only Aaron Rodgers has ever had five such seasons and that was done non-consecutive. Rodgers was also the Quarterback of the defeated Jets team. The performance also solidified Allen’s status as the all-time leader in wins, total touchdowns, and yards through a player’s first seven seasons.

DENVER — Despite a disappointing Week 17 loss, the Denver Broncos enter the final week of the regular season with a clear path to the playoffs. Thanks to favorable developments—including the Kansas City Chiefs clinching the AFC’s No. 1 seed and resting key players—Denver’s postseason odds have surged to 83%, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.
