(25News Now) - Dee-Mack sophomore Dalia DeJesus is doing things that you just don’t see very often from sophomores. DeJesus has led the Chiefs to the two winningest seasons in program history in each of her first two high school seasons while also leading Dee-Mack to back-to-back regional championships. That’s not to mention her individual accomplishments, setting the single-season rebounding record as a freshman and also scoring more than 1,000 varsity points through just the first two seasons of her career.

(25News Now) - The Washington Panthers have gone back-to-back. The defending Class 2A wrestling state champs won their second straight dual team state title with a 51-21 victory over Chicago Brother Rice in the semifinal and an 30-28 win over Lombard Montini in the state championship dual. The championship is the sixth for the storied Panthers program. Sophomore Sean Thornton’s decision win in the final match at 285 was the difference in the win.

Tazewell County Health Department (TCHD) is excited to announce the impending opening of a new facility to better serve the Tazewell County community. In late 2024, TCHD will move its Clinic and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) services to the building at 1800 Broadway St. in Pekin. Those services will also remain on a scheduled basis at TCHD’s current location at 21306 IL-9 in Tremont. This move will allow TCHD to bring its services closer to the County’s population center and to a more centralized location.
