Two Chattanooga high school football teams, Baylor and McCallie, are ranked among the top 100 teams in the preseason by MaxPreps. They both met on the Finley Stadium turf in December of 2023 and McCallie came out on top finishing 12-1 and were the Division II-AAA state champions defeating Baylor who was the runner-up and finished 10-3. Baylor is ranked 64 in the poll, while McCallie is at number 76.
