FuRyu makes a ton of Vocaloid figures, from ones offered up as prizes to more substantial ones. Plenty of them are Hatsune Miku ones! So many that they tend to be grouped by themes or specific lines. One of the recent figures I managed to find and buy is the Alice in Wonderland take on Hatsune Miku that is part of the Desktop Fairy trio and, while this is another prize figure that is considered a budget option, its dynamic pose help it stand out.

Sony announced on the PlayStation Blog that two State of Play streams that consist of a standard and Japan showcase for Tokyo Game Show season will go over upcoming PS5 games on September 3, 2026. Things will start at 6am PT/9am ET/3pm CET and will air on YouTube and Twitch as usual. We don’t know how long the presentation as a whole will last, but standard State of Plays tend to be around 30-40 minutes.

Image via Square Enix Square Enix announced a horde of Chrono Trigger merchandise based on characters from the JRPG and confirmed among the items will be plush toys of Frog and Robo. Everything is expected to appear in Japan on February 3, 2027. Some of the items are tied to the Orchestra Concert soundtrack performance, like an acrylic diorama, mug, t-shirt, tote bag, and pair of pins. The US storefront isn’t showing pre-orders for any of the pieces yet, but we should see them worldwide on that store and Amazon.

It suggested this will show up in “2027 and beyond,” suggesting there could be more to this trading card game-associated project.

Bandai Namco just released a new Frieren prize figure in Japan that recreates the anime scene of her crying and throwing a tantrum for three days and three nights. It is now in Japanese arcade crane game machines, and the Banpresto Amazon storefront says it will appear in the US on December 11, 2026. When it does show up outside Japan, it will cost $27.

More Animal Crossing makeup is on the way as Bandai Namco announced it will offer some of its Creer Beaute Pon de Couleur multi-color powder in both its Gashapon capsule machines and at stores in Japan. It is expected to begin appearing in September 2026. 12 designs will be available, though getting them for 500 yen (~$3) in a gacha means you won’t know which one you’ll get. It’s unknown if we will eventually also see these everywhere, but the Creer Beaute Tamagotchi makeup did show up worldwide on the Bandai Namco Amazon storefront.

Ahead of an official Square Enix announcement, Hobby Genki revealed a listing for an Axel Kingdom Hearts 2 Form-ism figure. It will apparently launch by December 31, 2026. The retailer listed the official price as 11,000 yen (~$69), but is selling it for 9,570 yen (~$60). Past characters in the line include Sora and Roxas. As the already announced Form-ism ACT Sora is set for a January 30, 2027 launch, it’s possible this could show up later and that release date is a placeholder.
