Takara Tomy’s Dragon Quest version of The Game of Life (the board game) will come out in Japan in late October 2026. According to the Takara Tomy post on social media, this is the first collaboration between the JRPG and that board game. It is unknown if it will appear worldwide, though Hasbro’s original The Game of Life

Image via Mages The official social media account for the Science Adventure Series warned that Mages will release a patch for Steins;Gate Re:Boot on August 20, 2026. Saves made prior to this patch cannot be accessed afterwards. They will instead disappear. This will affect Japanese copies first and foremost, as the game isn’t widely available worldwide as of time of writing.

The Japanese Baskin Robbins account teased an upcoming collaboration with Genshin Impact, complete with in-game items that you can use. Four characters from the game will be featured: Flins, Linnea, Odette, and Illuga. Pre-orders will start on August 28, 2026, and the official site said the actual event will run September 8, 2026 through October 6, 2026.

The Gintama anime and manga account announced an upcoming collaboration with the series Osomatsu-san. This collaboration celebrates the 10th anniversary of Osomatsu-san and the 20th anniversary of Gintama. It seems it will pair up different characters, with merchandise based on the initial key visual available.

From September 11 to 24, 2026, Shibuya Loft will sell Sanrio and Danganronpa collaboration merchandise. Illustrator Kei Mochizuki drew and designed the characters for this collaboration.

Animate announced it will release new t-shirts based on the Tales of games series on August 29, 2026. There will be 19 options in total, with each unisex shirt using the cover of a mothership title in the long-running JRPG series as its featured design.

Sony Music Solutions announced a Kingdom Hearts 25th Anniversary Exhibition will be held at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. The event will take place from February 5, 2027 to April 4, 2027. Advance sales for the exhibition will start on October 8, 2026, and more information on these tickets will appear on the official website and social media account.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy X, a special cafe will appear in Japan from September 11, 2026 until December 2, 2026. It’ll be available in the Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, and Nagoya Square Enix Pop Up Cafe restaurants. There will be special food based on different elements and characters in the game, as well as some merchandise that comes with meals.
