SpaceX's Starship rocket was destroyed during its latest test flight after a thrilling booster catch back at the pad. The spacecraft's six engines shut down one by one, with contact lost just 8-and-a-half minutes into the flight. The mission was intended to take the spacecraft on a loop around the world, carrying 10 dummy satellites for practice. Space X confirmed that the ship was lost on X: This flight marked the first test of the new and upgraded Starship spacecraft. And that lost spacecraft caused some problems for airplane flights…. Several flights near the Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean were forced to hold or divert Thursday evening because of the rocket's falling debris. The Starship rocket broke up in the atmosphere about nine minutes after launching from Texas. At least eight flights were reportedly impacted, including two American Airlines flights to New York's JFK, a Delta flight to Atlanta, and a JetBlue flight to JFK. But lots of people caught video of the space craft re-entering the atmosphere!
