Knox County Commissioners later this month may finally reveal the details associated with a long-anticipated reorganization of county office space.

The first-ever solar deal signed by county officials four years ago has experienced significant delays, representatives with the project told the county commissioners this week.

Solar developers leading a now-delayed project to erect a solar farm in Harrison Township now have the county’s full blessing to put off construction awhile longer.

County elected officials will seek to raze the old Poor Farm and build in its place a new Emergency Operations Center, just part of a multi-phase effort to reorganize county-owned office space.
