Disability Rights Montana (DRMT) in Helena's organizing a "Crip Camp" movie screening tour across Montana, this summer, & they'll be here in Shelby, next week on Tuesday afternoon, the 16th, at the Sagebrush Event Center, (the old Elks.) "Crip Camp," is a powerful Netflix documentary meant to educate & inspire people of all abilities about the historical significance of the disability rights movement. Don't worry about a thing, there's NO admission or costs to attend & NO donations. This documentary IS rated R, for "some" adult language & candid conversation. Have you heard of the BUMP program available now in Browning? Well, jump back & relax if you're over 50, & need help with your yardwork or some "handy" work. The BUMP program offers it all FREE of charge for the elderly. Perhaps I could get them to come over here & help me out with the basketball brackets next season. Don't worry about a thing. Scams, frauds, & bogus emails...they're all over the place these days & seem to be getting worse..."if" that's at all possible. A Community Fraud Awareness event is set for Shelby, next Tuesday, the 23rd. This event is scheduled for Logan Health Assisted Living, Tuesday afternoon at 3:30, & at Marias River Electric, at 7, in the evening. This is a great opportunity to learn all about fraud, red flags & targeting. Tuesday's Community Fraud Awareness event is being sponsored & powered by 1st Liberty Federal Credit Union. As I like to say, "treat them like a brother, but watch them like a hawk!

It was SRO last night in Cut Bank, at the world-famous Culpepper & Merriweather Circus, & now the circus is on the move to Choteau. They'll be in Choteau, at the rodeo grounds tomorrow (Fri) night, with a 5 o'clock, & 7:30 appearance. This afternoon's(Thurs) the last day for DISCOUNTED circus tickets. This afternoon, (Thurs) between 3:30, & 6, they'll have a table set up in the front area of Rex's Market, with presale discounted prices for child/senior tickets for $8, & adults for $14. Don't worry a bout a thing, child tickets are for ages 2 to 12, & senior tickets for folks 65, & older. Hats off to the Choteau Chamber, for bringing the circus to town. We hope to see you tomorrow at the circus in Choteau. The midway WITH concessions & some games & rides will be opening earlier in the day on Friday...

Come celebrate America's 250 Years tonight (Fri) & all day tomorrow (Sat)) at Valier Homesteader Days. Tonight's (Fri) Poker Run roars off at 6, & we're already fired up for the Salute America Parade at 11, tomorrow (Sat) morning. All the vendors will be up & running in the park on Saturday from 10 to 3, with kids games at 1, along with a petting zoo. Get ready for music in the park from 11:30, to 2:30, with KARAOKE! There'll be a bear spray demonstration & a corn hole tourney at 3, or 4, (who's counting when you're having fun) at the lake. But wait! There's more: There'll be a Saturday evening concert & dance at the pavilion from 7 to 11, with music by Valier's own Nick Kuka, & the Regulators, all the way from Wisconsin! Don't worry about a thing, a food drink truck will be stationed at the dance provided by the Branding Iron in Conrad. Salute America in Valier, this weekend with Homesteader Days.

I can relate to fossils, & I'm here to blog about the Rudyard Fossil Fest, set for THIS Saturday, the 27th. The activities start Saturday morning at 8, with a Pancake Breakfast, & it's going to be one jammed-packed Saturday, in Rudyard. You might say, "It'll be fun by the "YARD!" 3V3 basketball's on the roster as well as a cornhole tournament, a pie social, Dino movies at the Hi-Line Theatre, & vendors galore all over the place. The day will conclude with a street dance with LIVE music by Local Strangers! Don't worry about a thing, the museums will be open for tours all day long. We'll find out more about this year's Rudyard Fossil Fest, on Saturday, this Thursday morning on KSEN, AM 1150, when the Liberty Chamber Spotlight, with George "Sounds Effects" Thompson, hits the air around 10:15. Pancakes, pie & fossils all in one day on the Hi-Line.

Each & every yea, the Teton County 4-H program hosts a county fair on the last full weekend of June. The Teton County 4-H Fair, in Choteau, kicks off THIS Thursday! All the fair FUN will run this Thursday, Friday, & Saturday. According to Teton County Extension Agent Jane Wolery. "The fair exhibits allow 4-H members to show the skills they have learned throughout the 4-H year." Wolery says, "Many Teton County 4-H alumni have shared that their 4-H experiences launched them into their current careers & fueled their desire t serve & lead their communities." Don't worry about a thing, ALL events will take place in the Choteau Pavilion, & Weatherbeater Arena. Exhibits open this Thursday at 4, & Saturday night's the 4-H Market Animal Auction! Two year old Otto Sommerfeld, the son of Gus & Holly Somerfeld, of Power, was diagnosed with leukemia this past November. Otto's currently undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital of Colorado, & is recovered from a stem cell transplant this past March. A "Brave Like Otto" fundraiser is planned for this Saturday, with a pulled-pork dinner starting at 4, at the Power American Legion Hall. Free-will donations will be taken for the dinner, & a silent auction, conducted by Ross Fitzgerald, will commence at 5:30. "Name Your Price" items & "Worth a Bid" raffle items will be available too. In fact, 30 some items have been already donated so far & more are on the way in. At last report, Otto, is recovering well from the stem cell transplant but he has a long, long road ahead of him. If we can, let's all make that long road a little bit shorter & smoother for little Otto, as he recovers. Hope to see you this Saturday, in Power, for the "Brave Like Otto" fundraiser.

The weather postponed the Tri-County Cards game with the Lethbridge Miners, back on Sunday afternoon, May 31st. We'll be broadcasting the "make up game" this afternoon (Wed) with the Cards & Lethbridge, from Conrad. Our Sports Director, Gary Goodan, will have the play by play action starting at 5 o'clock this afternoon on Montana's #1 Sports Station, KSEN AM 1150. By the way, the next broadcast game for the Cards, is this Saturday afternoon at 5, when the Cards play Fort Macleod, & we'll be on the air with the broadcast this Saturday afternoon.
