For the second morning in a row, there has been a mutl-vehicle incident on the South Ring Road, at the same spot, near the Bloomfield interchanges. The incident is causing major tailbacks westbound from the Dunkettle and is likely to cause misery to tens of thousands of commuters this morning. The Tii has put out an incident alert, about the crash between J9 (N28) Ringaskiddy and J8 Douglas (Cork). Multi vehicle collision. It is lane 2 that is affected. The Tii says: "Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time. When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services." We will have live updates as we get them- but if you can avoid the South Ring westbound this morning, do.
