A deputy and trooper crossed the ice in blizzard-like conditions to rescue a 40-year-old man who crashed his snowmobile into an island and was ejected.
Rescuers were able to locate a missing snowmobiler who crashed into an island on Upper Silver Lake when an Oceana County sheriff's deputy heard the man shouting for help.
White-outs can be expected as a winter storm continues, the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids said.
