These are the unofficial results for statewide, legislative and federal offices in the Arizona Primary Election held July 21. These figures were posted by the Secretary of State’s office at 3:11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22. At that time, 96 percent of precincts had reported. A total of 986,075 ballots had been cast out of 4.3 million registered voters for a turnout of 22.9 percent.

Arizona held its primary election on Tuesday, July 21. In the races for La Paz County offices, there was only one competitive race, the one on the Republican side for Judge of the Superior Court. Thomas Dorsey and Anita Dale both sought to be the permanent replacement for Judge Marcus A. Kelley, who died Feb. 22 of this year.

The skate park in City Park is seen in December 2025 after it was closed and filled in. The Town of Parker is considering building a new skate park as part of the renovations of City Park. A public hearing to solicit input from the community will be held at 4 p.m. Aug 10 at Parker Town Hall.

Monday, Aug. 3 will be the first day of the 2026-27 School Year in the Parker Unified School District. There are some important events occurring before that date. The following is a list of events, dates and times that parents and students should be aware of.

The Parker Town Council has adopted the Town’s budget for fiscal year 2026-27. At the Council’s July 21 meeting, Dennis Osuch, the consultant hired by the Town to develop the budget, said it was the basically the same at the one tentatively adopted at the July 7 council meeting. It calls for about $17.5 million in revenue with $18 million in expenses.

Tim Sousamian plans to build several homes in the 1300 block of Desert Avenue. He provided the Parker Town Council with these views of what the structures would look like.

The annual Back to School Bash was held July 26 at the Parker Community Center. This event from the Town of Parker’s Parks & Recreation Committee is intended as a fun event to help students and parents get ready for the new school year.

This is what the skate park in City Park looked like just prior to its closure in October 2025. It had seriously deteriorated due to inadequate maintenance. Public Works Director said concrete experts told him ithe facility could not be repaired and it was best to start over.
