Chinese embodied-AI company Agibot is livestreaming its G2 humanoid robots working on a real production line at Longcheer Technology's factory in Nanchang until June 28. The robots, using customized grippers, are performing quality inspection tasks on a tablet mass-production line alongside human workers. This initiative highlights a growing industry trend where humanoid robot makers are demonstrating real-world utility and endurance, moving beyond flashy demos. Figure AI recently conducted a similar long-duration livestream of its Figure 03 robot sorting packages for over 200 hours, emphasizing sustained, tedious work. The goal for the humanoid robotics industry is to prove these machines can reliably perform unglamorous tasks for extended periods, showcasing their practical application in factories and warehouses. This public display of continuous operation is becoming the new standard for validating humanoid robot capabilities.
