All of those have been facts over the last decade. The Indianapolis Colts haven’t won an opening game since 2013. All of those players from that team are either long gone or plain forgotten. Vick Ballard was the team’s leading rusher. Remember him? You do now, but he isn’t someone who jumps into the memories of Colts fans very often. It has been a painful decade in which the Colts can’t seem to get off on the right foot and tend to bury themselves before things really get started. They have another chance this year to remove that unsightly blemish, but it won’t be easy.
