A growing number of councils are looking to raise council tax beyond the usual limit for the coming financial year, LGC research has found.
The first results from LGC's annual council tax tracker shows that once again the majority of councils are preparing to make the maximum rise in 2025-26 - set at 3%, plus a further 2% for those with social care responsibilities.
