“Although the Complaint concedes that Lou DiBella threatened Guillot in various ways,” the response filing states, “Guillot never reported to anyone at the City of Richmond and/or the Economic Development Authority that DiBella ‘threatened to kill Guillot and his family.’”

The work coincides with the city's announcement last week that the EDA had closed on its $25 million purchase of the stadium property from VCU, following related negotiations that delayed the closing for months.

The acquisition brings an end to a 17-year run for 510, which spouses Heather Grutzius and John White founded in 2009. The firm will assume the Champlin name, which is set to change in a rebrand.
