Police said the suspect fired a gun at officers in the area of Mission and 9th Streets in San Francisco.

Security cameras helped authorities identify a man they say shot another motorist on Interstate 780 on Saturday morning, the CHP said.

The footage captured by Saildrone, an Alameda-based company, was shared on social media by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The 2-year-old male sea lion was found shot in his back on Aug. 7 at an Orange County beach. He died the next day, officials said.
