“Avatar: The Way of Water” was already a hefty 192 minutes, but James Cameron is now telling Empire Magazine to expect around the same runtime for the threequel (‘Fire and Ash’).

Tough break for Leigh Whannell’s “Wolf Man” — audiences seem to hate the movie. That brutal C- CinemaScore sticks out like a sore thumb.

I gave this story 24 hours to see if it would amount to anything. Since I’m now writing about it, that means the controversy hasn’t subsided. This seems to be a big deal, and if you agree with certain corners of social media, could cost “The Brutalist” some Oscars.

Andrea Arnold tells Screen that her next film will probably be the Scarlett Johannson-starring “Featherwood.” She’s already location scouted the project, and is now looking to set up a cast and production start for the film.

I can already tell there’s going to be some desperately hyperbolic marketing when it comes to this movie. I don’t think Tom Cruise can afford to have yet another ‘Mission: Impossible’ underperform at the box office. There’s a lot riding here.

Last month, a trailer for Alex Garland’s “Warfare” was released via A24. We’ve now learned that the film will be going the same route as last year’s “Civil War,” also directed by Garland. An April 11 release date has been set up for the film.

Two years after its TIFF world premiere, Atom Egoyan’s “Seven Veils” has finally been picked up for theatrical distribution. XYZ and Variance Films are teaming up to release the film on March 7. A trailer has also been unveiled.

I decided to compile a quick list of the 10 most interesting Netflix films set for 2025 release. As you can see, it’s still not that impressive, but new projects from Baumbach, Bigelow, Del Toro, and Berger will no doubt be campaigned for awards.

Much thanks to a source over at Production Weekly who has tipped me that long-time Christopher Nolan collaborator and cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema’s name is on the production sheet for “The Odyssey.”

It was to be expected. Coming off the immense success of “Nosferatu,” Focus Features wants to do more business with Robert Eggers, and they’re even already set up a release date.
