Hot and humid conditions with temperatures in the 80s are around the Lake, while areas near the water feel cooler.

Windy conditions continue throughout the workweek. It has been a warmer day across the Northland with temperatures in the upper 70s, close to 80s in some areas.

Rain totals between 0.5 and 1.0 inches are forecast for the southern half of the Northland, with locally higher amounts possible and decreasing totals farther north.

With Grandma's festivities around now, the weather conditions for Duluth's Big Race on Saturday are looking ideal.

A weather system bringing widespread showers to the Northland today will begin to wind down this evening.

Temperatures were cooler today with highs in the 60s. Slight chance of showers impacts the Arrowhead and Northwest Wisconsin this evening.

The best chance for any isolated strong to severe storms will be in central and north-central Minnesota.

Additional showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday, mainly during the afternoon and early evening.

In Minnesota, the main threat will be periods of heavy rainfall due to the slow-moving showers and storms, while in northwest Wisconsin, strong to severe storms may produce large hail later this afternoon and early evening.

Thursday turned out to be a great day around the Northland. Temperatures were ideal and not to humid. The heat and humidity won't return until next week.
