"We've used that as motivation all summer," Kearney Catholic head coach Rashawn Harvey said. "We talked about what we need to do to close the gap, and now we get an opportunity to not just close the gap but overtake the gap and beat Norfolk Catholic."

Millard South hasn't lost to an in-state team all season, and Kearney hasn't lost since it faced Millard South.
