WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today we’re seeing some fog for our mountain valleys. Any fog should mix out by mid-morning in preparation for a sunny and hot day. Highs today top out in the mid 80s with relatively low humidity values. That should help keep our feels like temperatures “relatively low”, although it is going to be a hot day for Appalachia regardless.

Today will be a good day to be weather aware as we are likely to have some strong to severe storm development later on this afternoon and evening. Our entire region is under a level 2 out of 5, or slight severe weather risk today. The strongest storms will be capable of producing gusty winds up to 60 mph, localized flooding, and hail.
