Season 10 is right around the corner as the Golden Knights look to build on their historic franchise start. Over the first nine seasons and into Year 10, there has been no shortage of defining players. So, we decided to build the All-Decade team. Rather than simply select the "best" players and fill them into a four-line, three-pair roster, we focused more on "roles" to determine who makes the team.

As the offseason rolls along we dig into the next massive topic on the docket for VGK, the next contract of the captain and the OG Misfit, William Karlsson.

Wotherspoon posted his best statistical season in just about every category. Goals, assists, points, games played, shots, time on ice, and takeaways were all blown out of the water in his fifth season in the NHL as a 28-year-old. He also led the Penguins in blocked shots and ranked second in hits.

It’s clear they are still a strong team, but the dichotomy of last year allows for a wide range of opinions on Season 10. Plus, a new coach, a couple of significant players leaving via trade, and another year on the legs of many of the veterans opens the door for even more speculation.

Looking forward, though, there are a few rookies on the horizon who could have an impact in this winter’s World Juniors. Recently, The Athletic’s crack team of prospect writers made predictions for each of the five main countries participating in this year’s version. While Vegas did not have a representative on either Team USA or Team Canada, they have important players on both the Finnish and Swedish rosters.

ESPN Jeopardy is fun; VGK Jeopardy is even better. It'll be nice to see people actually get the hockey questions right every once in a while.

Over the last few seasons, the Golden Knights have made waves with some dubious signings and draft picks because of off-ice concerns in their backgrounds. There’s no need to rehash the past of each of these three players, but Carter Hart, Trevor Connelly, and Kai Uchacz each came to Vegas with past controversies that many other teams would have likely passed over.
