Chillicothe — The director of the Ohio Department of Development recently spoke on in the “Annual Celebration Breakfast” of Greater Chillicothe & Ross County Development. In her part of the annual economic event, Lydia Mihalik was the keynote speaker.
A Scioto Valley member of law enforcement was put to rest Friday by a huge number of officers from all over the region, after being killed in the Ross Correctional Institution on Christmas Day.

Ross County — The county engineer is responding quickly to a small area of collapsing hillside threatening to block a dead-end road, and is also ready to start a 1 1/2-year project to replace a century-old overpass of a railroad.
Chillicothe — With the recent snow and cold weather, how has the new homeless shelter been working? The leader of the agency that has been operating the 24-hour facility for little more than a year says it has been busy…and has probably been a lifesaver.
Chillicothe — The “Resource Center” at 804 Eastern Avenue has been open 24 hours a day for more than a year as the homeless shelter, and more, for the city and Ross County.
