QUAD CITIES, IA/IL. (KWQC) - While we are off to a chilly start again this morning, it is warmer than the past two days. This afternoon, the warming trend will be felt as we hit highs near 70º. Breezy south winds will help us to the low 70s on Friday afternoon and increase fire danger so avoid outdoor burning. This weekend will be a scorcher by later October standards with temps reaching the mid-70s area-wide. Warmer than normal temps will stick around into early next week.
