DA leader John Steenhuisen says his party is gunning for active participation in the soon-to-be-announced cabinet.

The DA is said to be optimistic that a deal will be signed soon after a meeting between John Steenhuisen and President Cyril Ramaphosa on Monday.

An insider said they believed the cabinet announcement was imminent as there was a tentative agreement that the announcement should be done by Thursday

The resignation comes exactly a month after he was sworn in as MP
