Animals sit alongside their human caretakers inside the internal medicine area of the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine expansion. Each area of the expansion was designed to meet the needs of each department; in the internal medicine area, there's a designated quiet room, computers off to the side where staff and students can work just steps away from the animals and a rounds room in the back. A pneumatic tube system built into the walls allows medications to be ferried from the pharmacy elsewhere in the expansion. JOHN HART, STATE JOURNAL
