Some Longview community members are continuing to speak against a proposed biomining facility, where technology would be used to extract valuable metals from electronic waste.

If you see local law enforcement at Bullard ISD’s intermediate campus this week, don’t be alarmed.

The approval does not officially mean the biomining facility will now be in operation in Longview. The unanimous vote approved a special use permit in a heavy commercial zoning district.
