STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A grand jury on Staten Island has dismissed murder charges stemming from a July 31 shooting in Mariners Harbor, after viewing harrowing surveillance footage showing the moment gunfire erupted.

The defendant, Roy Hill of Clifton, pleaded guilty Aug. 27 in state Supreme Court, St. George, to second-degree attempted robbery in connection with the Nov. 29, 2022, incident.
