While it is common knowledge most birds fly south during the winter for access to food supply, I can’t help but think they also are escaping the not-so-positives that come with the cold, dark months. During these days, I always find myself thinking back to the first time I headed south.

VINCENNES — The members of the Vincennes Redevelopment Commission met for the first time in 2025 where they reelected last year’s officers and discussed getting updates in the future for current projects being worked on.

KNOX COUNTY — The Knox County Redevelopment Commission met for it’s first meeting at the Pantheon Tuesday morning where board members reelected officers, confirmed the 2025 meeting schedule and discussed ongoing projects.

VINCENNES — The Vincennes Parks and Recreation Board met Wednesday late afternoon to hear follow-up details on the park’s five-year plan and other requests.

VINCENNES — Knox County Commissioners continued with appointments and approved a commissioner’s tax sale at their meeting Tuesday evening.

KNOX COUNTY - The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is traveling to Vincennes and around the county where homeless individuals take shelter to collect surveys from those, and in return could provide future funds for the homeless.
