A Southwest Airlines flight had to return to Denver International Airport on Sunday after an engine cowling fell off on takeoff and hit the wing flap, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The agency said the plane, a Boeing 737-800, was headed to William P. Hobby Airport in Houston and that it will investigate. Boeing stock was 0.1% up after fluctuating early in the session.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk paid a visit to top Chinese officials on Sunday to push for the electric vehicle maker’s Full Self-Driving technology. Musk posted a photo on Sunday of himself sitting with China’s Premier Li Qiang, saying the two had known each other for many years. The surprise visit comes less than a week after Tesla’s disappointing earnings report, and Musk even postponed a planned trip to India because of his “very heavy Tesla obligations.”
Regulators fined the wireless carriers for selling customer location data without consent. They said they would appeal.
Walt Disney has one less activist investor to deal with. Trian Partners’ Nelson Peltz has sold his entire stake in the entertainment giant, according to a person familiar with the matter.
