Transpower New Zealand CEO James Kilty said Transpower was carefully managing projects that require significant electricity, such as Datagrid’s, to ensure there is sufficient capacity on the grid.

At full capacity, the facility will process 250,000 tonnes of olivine rock and create up to 200 full-time roles in Southland.
